Marijane Baucum went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 9, 2005. She was born on August 9, 1924 in Fort Worth, Texas to Dr. Nelson and Freda Knight Dunn. She graduated from Paschal High School in Ft. Worth and attended Texas Tech University where she met and married the love of her life, Albert Fielder Baucum, of Anson, TX. on September 11, 1944.
Albert and Marijane moved to Ellis County in 1946 to Oak Branch just south of Midlothian and began ranching for her father, Dr. Nelson Dunn, on the ND Ranch. She was right at her husband's side as they built up Baucum Ranch near Oak Branch.
She was a devoted wife and mother to three children and ministered to others playing the organ and working with the youth for many years at the Methodist Church in Midlothian.
She was also one of the founders of Midlothian Bible Church and Waxahachie Bible Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Tony Mandina; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Jeannie Baucum; son and daughter-in-law, Stan and Paula Baucum, all of Midlothian. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Lance; Lisa; Leah; Jessica; Daniel; Joseph; Lydia; Logan and Harrison; six great-grandchildren, Ashlyn; Scout; Will; Sara; Colton; Ethan and her caregiver and friend Margaret Solis.
Visitation will be Monday, October 10th from 6 PM to 8 PM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie with services on Tuesday, October 11th at 10:00 AM at Midlothian Bible Church, 4250 FM 663, Midlothian, TX. with Dave Wyrtzen officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Lance Johnson; Daniel Baucum; Joseph Baucum; Kevin Kirk; Scott Solis; Chad Austin; Justin Barrera; Roy Solis. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Midlothian Bible Church Building Fund.
