Mrs. Scott passed away Wednesday night at her Glenn Heights residence. She was born in Clarendon, TX. to Roy and Gladys (Tindell) Vest. Macky attended schools in Mount Selma. She married James Otto Scott in January 1970 in Dallas. They were married 29 years. After her children were grown, she became a waitress/hostess. Her last employment was with the Ramada Inn of Irving. Mrs. Scott loved to go to Shreveport, enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, fishing and being with her family. She was of the Church of Christ faith.

Her survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Gwendolyn Ruth and Cary C. Floyd of Palmer, Linda Diane and Ronald P. Baker of Duncanville, Doris LaVaughn and DeWayne Morris of Glenn Heights; brothers, Bill Vest of Temple, Gerald Vest of Gillette, WY., Tim Vest of Tyler; sister-in-law, Benita Vest of Oklahoma City, OK.; special friend, Robin Griggs and her family; grandchildren, Tammie Freeman, Pamela Collins, Rhonda Sutton, Bryan Holt; eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Ray Vest.

The family will receive friends and relatives 10 AM Friday, March 24, 2006 at the Red Oak Funeral Home with graveside services and interment at 11 AM at the Red Oak Cemetery.
