Mr. Couch passed away Friday evening at his Waxahachie residence after a long hard battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born in Italy, Texas to Coy and Lillie May Claxton Couch. He graduated from Italy High School and served during World War II in the U S Army 36th Division. Mr. Couch married Bea Gallman on April 13, 1943 in Galveston, Texas. He was employed for 34 years with the U S Postal Service as a letter carrier for the City of Dallas. He moved to Waxahachie after retirement in 1978. Mr. Couch was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church, the Fidelis Sunday School class, and also attended Waxahachie Bible Church. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, United Methodist Men and the Burger King Coffee Group. He was an avid gardener.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Bea Couch of Waxahachie, Texas, one son, Reverend Billie John Couch and wife Margaret of Lubbock, one daughter, Beverly Elaine Burns and husband Jerry of Melbourne, Fla., one brother, Harold Cecil Couch of Abilene, TX, one sister, Elaine Couch of Arlington, TX, three grandsons; Jonathan, David and wife Amber, and Stephen Couch. Also two granddaughters, Benay Burns and Sarah Lynn Couch and one step granddaughter, Kristin Gamble. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 3 to 5 PM, Sunday, April 11th at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be at 2 PM , Monday, April 12th in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Jerry Shepherd and Reverend Bruce Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
