Modena Moffett passed away Friday, April 21 at Select Specialty Hospital in Desoto, Texas. She was born in the Howard community to Albert Stevenson and Laura D. (Pasley) Stevenson. She graduated from Waxahachie High School. Modena married C. E. "Eudie" Moffett on November 11, 1936 in Weatherford, Texas. She was a beautician at Casa Blanca in downtown Waxahachie on the square. She joined the First United Methodist Church in 1938 and was a faithful member of the Fidelis Class for over 60 years.

Her survivors include a nephew, Dale Stevenson, a great niece, Shelley McDonough, several other great nieces and nephews and many friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Albert Stevenson, her mother, Laura D Pasley, her husband C.E. "Eudie" Moffett, four brothers, and six sisters.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 7 p.m., Sunday, April 23 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be Monday, April 24 at 2 p.m. in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home, with interment following at Hillcrest Burial Park.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Organ Fund or a charity of your choice.
