Moddelle Edrington

Moddelle "Mollie" Edrington, longtime Waxahachie resident passed away July 4, 2017. She was born in Ennis on May 21, 1929, the only child of George and Edsie Horrell Dais. She was raised in Alma and graduated Ennis High School in 1945 at the age of 16.

Mollie married Fred Edrington on August 17,1946. She was employed by Texas Power & Light for 32 years, retiring as the District's Manager's Secretary. She operated Mollie's Office until 1997.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie since 1948. During her younger years she was an active member of the Altar Society holding every office.

She is survived by her daughter, Jan and husband, Pat Koennecke of Waxahachie.

Mollie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred, her son Rick, her grandson Brian, sister-in-laws, Edith Costlow and Majorie Edrington and brother-in-law, Frank Edrington.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 6pm with rosary to follow at 7pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on July 7, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at St Joseph Cemetery in Ennis, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, if desired donations can be made to St Joseph Catholic Church in memory of Moddelle Edrington.

I was blessed with a happy life, a loving family and a lot of good friends. Most of my friends have preceded me in death, but I ask those of you who remain to please remember with a kind thought and a prayer….Love Mollie
