Mildred Perryman

Mildred Aday Perryman was born August 11, 1929 at Five Points, Ellis County, Texas and departed this life July 7, 2011 in Abilene, Texas. She attended schools in Waxahachie and graduated as the salutatorian of her class in 1946. On April 30, 1948 she married Romie Gene Perryman of Waxahachie. She was a longtime member of the College Street Church of Christ in Waxahachie. She was a devoted housewife and mother, former employee of Mott's and owner and operator of "The Sewing Basket" business in Waxahachie. In 1997, she moved to Abilene, Texas, and resided there until the time of her death. She was a member of the Oldham Street Church of Christ in Abilene. She is preceded in death by her mother Daisy Smith Aday and her father William Ross Aday, and five sisters. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Romie Gene Perryman, two sons, Barry Perryman and wife Mary of Reno, Nevada, Bruce Perryman and wife Carlene of Milford, Texas, one daughter, Glenda Perryman Burden and husband Michael of Abilene, Texas, one brother, William Clifford Aday and wife Nell of Bullard, Texas, six grandchildren, Colette Smith and husband Craig of Lander, Wyoming, Amber Nelson and husband Matt of Laramie, Wyoming, Eliza Perryman of Milford, Hailey Burden, Emma Burden, Madison Burden of Abilene, Texas, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. She loved her family and enjoyed and excelled at sewing, photography, oil painting, quilting, card making, ornithology, vegetable and flower gardening, cooking, taking care of children, and all types of church activities. She was an excellent singer. She was a kind, calm, patient, and peaceful soul. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Brown Street Church of Christ in Waxahachie Texas.
