Mikal "Zane" Walker was born July 19, 1999 in Dallas, Texas. He died on July 3, 2017 as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident. He lived in Waxahachie and recently graduated from Waxahachie High School and he was planning to attend Texas State University in the fall.
Zane is survived by his family, Stacey and Shane Walker and sister Katie Walker of Waxahachie Texas and by many other relatives and close friends which number too many to list by name.
Zane was an avid lover of sports and outdoor activities of any kind. He was game to try any sport but had a passion for soccer and swimming. Zane was a soccer referee for young kids and helped coach his sisters' soccer team. Recently he became a lifeguard and enjoyed teaching kids and passing on his love for swimming. Zane loved life and experienced everything he did to the fullest whether it was sports, spending time with friends or sleeping. Zane was also a very loyal friend and would always have your back if you needed a shoulder to cry on, a laugh or a protector.
Zane will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of person that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson and friend. Visitation will be Saturday July 8, 2017, beginning at 12:00 pm at the Avenue Church in Waxahachie, Texas. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Wayne Boze Funeral Home will be coordinating the services.
