Michael Recksiek

Michael Dennis Recksiek, 62 of Italy, Texas passed away Saturday, January 04, 2020.  He was born in Fountainebleau, France to Lt. Col. (Ret) Daniel & Grady Miller Recksiek. Michael lived in France, Germany, S. Korea and numerous American states as his Dad was career military. He now proudly has a daughter in law serving in the US Army. He enjoyed volunteering in his music ministry playing guitar, banjo or mandolin and singing at various nursing homes, senior citizens center and cowboy churches.  He was loved and will be dearly missed. Michael is survived by his wife, Lori. Children Michelle & Adrian Castaneda, Amanda Huskins & Chris West, Daniel & Alesandra Recksiek and Travis & Lindsey Recksiek. Grandchildren, A.J., Isabel & Gabby Castaneda; Phillip & Ryder Huskins; Olivia & Victoria Recksiek and Ella & Austyn with Cole Recksiek on the way.

A donation to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.

A visitation with the family is scheduled for Tuesday, January 07, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Wednesday, January 08, 2020 at 10:00 am with Pastor Frank Escamilla officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery in Italy, Texas.
