Michael Patterson

Patrick Michael Patterson, born December 3, 1971 died in a tragic motorcycle accident on June 22, 2010. Michael was raised by his Mom and Step Dad, John and Ruth Gavlick in Duncanville and grew up loving fast bikes. His Dad taught him to ride a motorcycle when he was just 6 years old. Michael was close to his cousins Teddy Wayne Lindley and Wayne Fawks. They got into a lot of mischief and kept their mothers busy. At 16 Michael moved to Hurst and attended and graduated from LD Bell High School. After gradation Michael and Kelly started their life together in Fate, Texas where they raised their son, Jon Michael and daughter, Hailey Morgan. Michael and Kelly moved to Waxahachie in 2004 to be close to his Mom and Dad. Michael worked for the Bradshaw Group where he was a model employee. Michael loved his job and was dedicated to the company and customers. He always carried his company cell phone and was only a call away. His company shirts were worn regularly at family gatherings. Michael was a family man. He loved his kids and shared his enthusiasm of biking with the family. Both Jon Michael and Hailey learned to ride bikes at a very early age. They even got their Great Dane Lucky to join in the family fun. Michael loved to fish and fished some favorite Waxahachie fishing holes dry. He loved to cook out and barbecue for the neighborhood kids. He played Full Tilt Poker every night and played his last hand the day he died. He was fun loving and a hard worker. Michael is survived by his wife Kelly, son, Jon Michael, daughter, Hailey Morgan, Mother, Ruth and John Gavlick, Father, Mike and Gail Patterson, Mother-in-law, Carolyn Polk, Grandmother, Mary Lou Peters, Other Grandmother Pat Archer, many Aunts and Uncles, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Full Tilt Poker has set up a memorial fund for Mikey Patterson at Wells Fargo Bank. Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 26th at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. www.waynebozefuneralhome
