Michael Martin

Michael Lynn Martin, 53 of Red Oak, passed away suddenly in a automobile accident Saturday evening on May 7, 2011 in Red Oak. He was born to the late Clarence G. Martin and to Mary Evans on April 21, 1958 in Muncie, IN. Mike enjoyed refinishing wood and loved antiques. He enjoyed landscaping, working with stone and collecting knives. He loved spending time with his family and will be missed by so many who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth Martin of Red Oak; his daughter, Ashley Paige Shelton and her husband, Gary of Dallas; his son, SPC, Kyle William Martin and his fiance', Amber Lucente of Ft. Hood; his mother, Mary Evans of Muncie, IN; his brothers, David Martin of Muncie and Kelley Martin and his wife, Sally of Muncie, IN; his 2 nieces, MaryJane Martin and Nicole Martin; his nephew, Derek Martin. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence G. Martin; and his daughter, Lindsey Martin. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery, Red Oak.
