Michael Kaskela (don't call him Mike!) was born in Putnam, Connecticut to Catherine and JP Kaskela on January 24, 1952. Michael passed unexpectedly in his home in Red Oak, Texas on May 21, 2014. Michael leaves his wife Maureen Pomroy Kaskela, daughter Kristen Bentley of Woodstock, Connecticut, son Joel Kaskela of Littleton, Colorado, brother Hilton of Sterling, Connecticut. He also leaves two stepsons Brian Bissonnette of Tamworth, New Hampshire and Scott Bissonnette of Little Valley, New York. He also leaves ten grandchildren and two nephews. Michael loved riding his horse Sparky, his cocker spaniels, the Beatles and Rolling Stones, and life itself. He was a gentle, giving man and loved to put everyone else first. For those who knew Michael, his sense of humor and story telling was something that we will never forget. Mundane situations were typically reversed, turned into memorable times when he was in your company. His unique perspective on life will be his legacy, a priceless gift to those who knew him.
