Michael Jennings Gentry, AKA Papaw, Fixer of Things & Magoo
Michael Jennings Gentry, 72, of Maypearl Texas, Retired from the City of Fort Worth, currently working at Autozone in Midlothian TX, died Saturday August 1st 2020, after a battle with Covid 19. Michael was born August 7th,1947 to Wanda and Porter Gentry in Bryan, TX. Mike graduated from Bell High. Mike was in the army from 1968-1972. Mike received a bachelor of Psychology ,electronics and telecommunications. He was a member of Milestone Church in Midlothian,TX. Mike enjoyed working on cars, especially with his youngest son Jeremy. Mike enjoyed playing with his grand-kids and his grand-pup. He loved spending time with his mom, just talking, and of course watching their favorite show Wheel of Fortune. He enjoyed aggravating us and making us all laugh. He loved his wife,Toni, dearly. Every day when he came home, he would ask her “How’s my Beautiful Amazing wife?” He was extremely proud of his oldest son, Shawn. He enjoyed bragging about all of his accomplishments. He loved his baby girl and he called her “Daddy’s Princess” no matter her age. He loved all of his kids and enjoyed laughing with them and helping them in any way he could. Mike enjoyed helping anyone fix anything.
Mike is survived by his Mother, Wanda Gentry; wife, Toni Gentry; brothers, Daniel Gentry and wife Pat and Kenneth Gentry and wife Candy; sons, Shawn Gentry, Jeremy Gentry and Lindsey; daughter Jessica Santana and Corin Santana; stepdaughters, Jennifer and Jaime Cade; 11 grand-kids; 5 nieces and 1 nephew. He was proceeded in death by his father, Elton Gentry and grandsons Dustin and Dylan Darouse.
