Michael Esselman, age 57, LTC retired

Mr. Esselman passed away Friday evening at Medical Center of Arlington. Michael was born in Waxahachie to Thomas J. Esselman and Bert E. Hastings Esselman. He was a 1969 graduate of Waxahachie High School and received his Bachelors Degree from UTA in 1974. Michael married Bonnie L Reichardt in Arlington August 23, 1974. Michael retired as Lt. Colonel with the USArmy. He participated Operations Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom, receiving high honors from his superiors. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waxahachie. He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Grand Prairie, his son Thomas V Esselman and his wife Susan of McKinney, his daughters; Michelle Esselman of Grand Prairie, Tammy Esselman of Arlington, his mother Bert Esselman, his brother Steven Esselman and his wife Ellise, and his sister Kristi Esselman all of Waxahachie. He was preceded in death by his father. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Monday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 2 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the Sardis Cemetery with Leroy Fenton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
