Micah Douglas Owens of Red Oak, Texas died suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 26 years old on September 2, 2024. Micah’s brother Brandon Rashada, 19, of Sherman also died alongside Micah. Micah is survived by many who loved him including his 3 year old son Landon Carter Owens and Landon’s mother Cheyenne Samford both of Red Oak, mother Alicia Owens of Red Oak, biological mother April Owens of Poetry, granny Vickie Taylor of Ennis, aunt Amanda Owens of Dallas, niece Evelyn Rashada, uncle Lupe Landeros of Plainview, siblings Ryan Owens-Moss, Autumn Hollingsworth, Averie Weigler, cousins Ian Eastland and wife Allison, Luke Owens and wife Sammie, Mariah Owens and husband Alex Vazquez, Abigail Landeros, Jacob Landeros. In addition to his family he had many friends who he loved and treated as family.
Micah was born March 14, 1998 in Dallas, Texas where he lived until the age of 6 when he moved to Red Oak where he attended elementary, middle, and high school. At the time of his passing Micah was happily employed at Sunrider Manufacturing.
Micah had an infectious laugh and a silly sense of humor that kept everyone laughing whenever friends and family gathered. Micah was fascinated with classic and new cars alike, loved water activities including swimming and boating, tubing the river and attending Texas Rangers baseball games with family and friends.
Micah had a caring spirit and was always right there whenever his “Mama” or “Granny”, or close friends needed anything from help with home maintenance to yard work, or cleaning the house. Micah was gifted with the ability to take apart and put back together anything and could do anything he put his mind to. He especially enjoyed organizing and reorganizing things.
Micah loved his son, family, and friends very much and they loved him. Micah will be forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, and he will be forever missed.
