Merle Abbott, Sr.

Merle Lewis Abbott, Sr., 76 of Ovilla, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010 in Red Oak, Texas. He was born to the late Richard and Dorothy Dow Abbott in Caribou, Michigan on January 26, 1934. Mr. Abbott was a veteran of the United States Army serving two tours of duty in Korea and one tour of duty in Vietnam. He loved spending time with his family and will be dearly missed. Services to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. Graveside and Military Honors will be held at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery in Boise Idaho at a later date.
