Mrs. Strength passed away Wednesday afternoon at Baylor Medical Center, Waxahachie. She was born in Frost, Texas to Ernest William and Jewel (Brewer) Herrin. She graduated from Forreston High School where she was on the basketball team, and married Billy Beauford Strength on December 17, 1954 in Italy, Texas. She worked for Southwestern Bell, Owens Corning, and retired from Tyler Refrigeration in 1998 after 20 years of Service. She was a member of Farley Street Baptist Church since 1965 where she worked in the nursery and was a member of the Loyal Workers Sunday School Class. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by two sons: Billy Scott Strength and his wife Sheila, and Brent Dwaine Strength and his wife Michele, all of Waxahachie; brother Harold Herrin of Waxahachie; sister Marie Cohagen of Italy; and four grandchildren: Mallory, Courtlyn, Ashlyn, and Hannah.

She is preceded in death by her husband Billy B. Strength, parents Ernest and Jewel Herrin, and her brother Paul Herrin.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of her Life will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel, with interment following at the Frost Cemetery.
