May Bell Bratcher, age 96, of Maypearl, Texas passed away on May 13, 2014. She was born on July 11, 1917 in Pluto, Texas to J.T. and Annie Cosby Bailey. May was a lifetime resident of Maypearl and a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church there. She was an active member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She spent most of her life as a seamstress and a cook, two of the things she enjoyed most in life. May was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, her son-in-law Buster Marion, three sisters and five brothers. May is survived by her daughter, Laura Faye Marion, her grandson Ted Vaughan and his wife Mary, three great grandchildren, Brandon Vaughan, Teddie Vaughan-Nichols and Andy Vaughan. She also had 6 great-great grandchildren, Camrie Campbell, Brynlie Campbell, Karson Vaughan, Avya Vaughan, Fisher Vaughan and Rylie Nichols. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, May 15, 2014, graveside services at the Maypearl Cemetery with Rev. Mike Haun officiating. Interment will follow. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
