Mr. Granados passed away Tuesday morning at the Red Oak Health and Rehab. He was born in
Charlotte, TX. to Julio and Lucia (Dillard) Granados. Mr. Granados married Bertha Vallejo in
July 1948 in San Antonio. He was a diesel mechanic for Caterpillar but his main occupation was
Tejano Musician from Ohio to the South Texas Valley. He was the back up Bajo Sexto (12 string bass guitar) for numerous Tejano Bands. He was of the Catholic faith.
His survivors include: sons, Maxie Granados, Jr. of Red Oak; Danny Granados of Garland; Edward Granados of Toldeo, OH., Robert Granados of Red Oak, George Granados and Rudolph Granados of Texas; daughters, Mary Badillo and Gabriel, Jane Vallejo, Delores DeLara and Clement all of Red Oak, Mary Sulik and Richard of California, Shelly Granados, Maxine Granados and Lucia Granados; thirty seven grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, one sister, and one son, Maxie.
The family will receive friends and relatives 5-9 PM Thursday at the red Oak Funeral Home. A Rosary will be 6 PM Friday at the Red Oak Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday, June 24, 2006 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Waxahachie, with Father Michael Guadagnoli Celebrant.
Interment will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Red Oak Funeral Home.
