Maurice met his wife of 62 years in Oklahoma City. Frances was running a successful beauty salon there and Maurice was stationed in Norman, OK. after WW11 to process people out of the Navy. Shortly after they were married he was honorably discharged from the Navy. He was also the recipient of two purple hearts. Maurice and Frances moved to Dallas to create a new life. Maurice worked as a credit and finance manager for more than 50 years for several corporations. Shortly after moving to Dallas, Maurice attended SMU for two years and started working for Sexton Quality Foods. In 1984 the family moved to Waxahachie and Maurice started a job with Flexsteel managing the credit department. In 1973 Maurice went to work for Moncrief Lenoir as credit manager in Dallas. He and Frances remained in Waxahachie until he was requested to take over the credit department for the Moncrief Lenoir. This promotion required him to move to the Houston Area in 1980. Maurice retired from Moncrief Lenoir in 1984 and enjoyed retirement traveling around the country in a RV with Frances. Due to failing health of Frances and Maurice they moved back to Waxahachie to be with their daughter in September 2007.
Maurice and Frances left friends every where they lived. They were both wonderful parents and proud grand and great grand parents. Maurice will be missed by all that knew him, especially his close family.
