Mirion Maurice Lowrey, age 69
July 19, 1938
August 6, 2007

Mr. Lowrey passed away Monday afternoon at his residence in Waxahachie. Maurice was born in Eddy (Falls County) Texas to James C and Ila (Calhoun) Lowrey. He attended Temple High School and served in the US Navy. Maurice held several Associates Degrees from Temple Jr College, Navarro, and other Colleges and was a Certified Law Enforcement Instructor. Maurice married Cynthia Kretschmar July 11, 1975 in Cameron. Maurice retired after serving 26 years as a Peace Officer and 5 years as a Ellis County Justice of the Peace. He a 20 year mason with the Waxahachie Lodge #90 and a member of the Ranch House Cowboy Church of Maypearl.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years Cynthia, 2 sons; Stephen Lowrey of Ennis, Dustin Lowrey of Washington State, 2 daughters; Sheryl Petru and her husband John of Troy, and Amber Lowrey of Orlando, Florida. Also Surviving are: Sister, Joyce Reinhardt and her husband Russell of Troy, 2 grandchildren; Louis McAnulty and Natasha Rutherford, and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers; JC, Gerald Don, and Naylon.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 7 to 9 PM Thursday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Friday, August 10, 2007 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow at the DFW National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be; Larry Sodek, Bob Pascual, John Cantu, Terry O'Brien, Gary Greenlee, and Bernie Burns.
The family request that Memorials be made to the Ranch House Cowboy Church of Maypearl.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
