Maudie Boswell

November 2, 1925 — January 11, 2015

Maudie Bryan Boswell, 89 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 in Waxahachie. Maudie was the daughter of Charlie B. & Arlendy Lewis Bryan. She graduated from Slocum High School in 1943 and graduated from Draught's Business College in Dallas. She worked for Nabors's Trailer Company in Dallas for over fifty years. Maudie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Waxahachie and taught Sunday school there for many years. She was also very active with the Waxahachie Senior Citizens for many years. Maudie married Carl O. Boswell in 1954 and they spent over 60 years together. They enjoyed travel and spent many summers in Colorado where they had a cabin in Woodland Park, Colorado. Carl has been by her side while she has been in Hospice Care. She is remembered as a loving and caring person and will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her and loved her. Survivors include her husband Carl O. Boswell of Waxahachie, Texas. One sister: Ann George of Arlington, Texas, Sister in Law: Elizabeth & George Kent of Midlothian, Texas; Brother in Law: Bob & Jean Boswell of Sachse, Texas and numerous Nieces & Nephews and Great Nieces and Great Nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Carl Bryan. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the First Baptist in Waxahachie with Dr. Jerry Lemon and Rev. Gary Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at 12:30 PM Tuesday January 20, 2015 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation with the family is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
