Matthew Nelson

Matthew Blake Nelson, born in Charleston, SC on January 5th, 1993, passed away unexpectedly on June 20th, 2022, at the age of 29. Growing up in Waxahachie, Matt enjoyed playing T ball, participating in boy scouts, playing the trumpet in band, and being a member of the golf team while in high school. In the 29 years of his life, he left a huge impact on others lives to whom he loved deeply. Matt soon found a passion for cars and motorcycles which he shared with many of his closest friends. Matt loved being surrounded by friends, hunting, he also enjoyed last-minute road trips rather it be cruising the back roads or to the beach. Matt was very caring with the biggest heart, would drop whatever he was doing at any time to help someone in need, he never met a stranger.

Matt is survived by his mother Angela Vaughan, stepfather David Vaughan, father Robert Nelson, siblings Alyssa and husband Jonathan, Emma and Braden, nephews Caiden and Elijah, grandparents Ralph, Lynda, Nancy, and Larry, uncles Mark, Gary, Chris, and Eric, aunts, as well as many cousins.
