Mrs. Turner passed away Tuesday morning at Baylor Medical Center Waxahachie. She was born December 18, 1930 in Walnut Grove, TX. to Rufus Harvey and Juanita (Waddell) Witherspoon. She was a cashier for Pioneer Oil.

She is survived by: her husband of 54 years, James Marvin Turner; her son, Jimmy Ray Turner; two daughters, Cathy Marie (Turner) Kennedy and Dena Ann (Turner-)Barnaby; seven grandchildren, Kena Lee (Turner) Long-Jordan, Kaysa Sherree (Turner) Johnson, Shannon Jileen Turner and Jacob Harrison Turner, James Clay Kennedy, Ricky Barnaby II and Catherine Jane Barnaby; and five great grandchildren, Spenser and Keagan Long-Jordan and Miah, Jeremiah and Mystery Johnson. Mrs. Turner's son, Tommy Lee Turner, preceded her in death in 1977.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Friday, October 3, 2003 at the South Prong Baptist Church, 101 Sunnyside Dr., Waxahachie with Reverend James Wilcox officiating. Pallbearers will be Ricky Barnaby, Ricky Barnaby II, James Clay Kennedy, Jeremiah Johnson, Aaron Long-Jordan, and Jacob Harrison Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be John Jay Elliott, Ronnie Ray Miller and James Oscar Elliott, Jr. Interment will follow in Midlothian Cemetery.
