Mrs. Mary Marie Porterfield, 92, of Waxahachie passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Pleasant Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center . She was born December 13, 1917 in Brandon , Texas to John Franklin and Pearl Mae (Giles) Booker. She was a seamstress for many years for Haggar Company and Green Brothers Garment Factories

Survivors include one sister, Jo Herrin; three sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband James David Porterfield, her parents, a daughter Donna Porterfield, three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Friday August 28, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M Saturday, August 29, 2009 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Waxahachie City Cemetery .
