Mary Mullican

Mary Ellen Mullican, 86 of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in Waxahachie. She was born to the late Marion V. & Nellie Hemby Buchanan on October 26, 1926 in Mixon, Texas. Mary was a longtime member of the Farley Street Baptist Church , she was the den mother for the Cub Scout Troup 231 and a Girl Scout Leader for several years. Mary worked and retired from Flex Steel Furniture after 23 years of service. She taught children's Sunday School at Farley Street for over 50 years. She will be dearly missed by her family and everyone who knew her and loved her. She is survived by 2 Sons & Daughters in Laws: Roy and Jane Mullican of Gun Barrel City , Texas ; Danny & Dorothy Mullican of Waxahachie. 1 Daughter and Son in Law: Mary Nell & Jerry Denbow of Carrolton, Texas; 2 Brothers: A. L. Buffalo of Houston and Harold Buffalo of Jacksonville, Texas; 3 Sisters: Bobbie Paul of Frankston, Texas, Jeanie Oakley and Billie Webb both of Jacksonville, Texas. 5 Grandchildren: Scot, Susan, Jake, Patrick and Carol. 10 Great Grandchildren: Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Mullican in 1989. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, May 03, 2013 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Waxahachie. Pallbearers will be Jake Mullican, Keith Hitt, Arron Hitt, Christian Hitt, Grayson Siske and Bobby Ray Harris. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, May 02, 2013 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
