Mary Elizabeth Humphries, age 81

July 8, 2006

Mrs. Humphries passed away Saturday evening at Pleasant Manor Health and Rehab in Waxahachie. She was born in Waxahachie to Hollie and Pearl (Moses) Jacobs and raised in the Waxahachie area. Mary married Cecil Lynn Humphries October 19, 1944 in Burleson.
She was employed at Carl's Café before moving to Wautauga where she retired from JC
Penney's. Mary raised five girls, was a devoted grandmother and had a way of making each one feel special. Mary enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by: four daughters, Nancy Forbes of Waxahachie, Bonnie Stewart and husband Ronnie of Holland, TX., Susie Humphries of Waxahachie and Holly Humphries of Collinsville, TX.; brother and sister-in-law, T. H. and Dorothy Jacobs of Waxahachie; sisters, Bertha Patterson, Sammie Moore, both of Waxahachie and Billie Croy and husband Frank of Keller; grandchildren, Karen Lockridge, Ron Stewart, Jake Stewart, Bill Stewart, Dwayne Good Jr., Jeff Good, Josh Hamm, Randy Hamm and Amanda Hamm.; great grandchildren, Bill Lockridge, Ben Lockridge, Skylar Stewart, Summer Stewart, Jaysee Stewart, Dash Stewart, Trey Good, Haley Good, Chelsey Good, Austin Arriola, Jacob Arriola, and Mitchell Good. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Mary Lynn Klos, granddaughter, Pam Klos and sister, Eloise Venable.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Monday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of her Life will be 4 PM Graveside Services Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Bells Chapel Cemetery with interment to follow.
