Mary Tom Davis Hassell November 29, 1928 January 13, 2012 Mary Tom Davis Hassell, 83 of Ferris, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 in Ferris. She was born to the late Raymond Everett & Mary Hester Hobson Davis on November 29, 1928 in Waxahachie, Texas. She worked for the City of Ferris for many years and will be truly missed by so many who will continually love her. She is survived by 1 Son: Larry James Hassell; 2 Daughters: Melinda Hassell Green and her husband Dennis, Amy Hassell Thompson and her husband Walter; 2 Brothers: Raymond "Bud" Davis & William "Punk" Davis and 2 Sisters: Faye Marie Washington and Betty Lou Butler; 7 Grandchildren: Melissa Dawn Kelly, Billy Shane Thompson and his wife Julie, Jeremy Kyle Pruitt and wife Haley, Staci Thompson Fletcher and her husband Chad, Brittney Thompson Gribble and her husband Barrett, Beth Thompson Rochelle and her husband Tyler and Adopted grand-daughter: Jenny Slocum; 11 Great Grandchildren: Tyler Cole Pruitt, Morgan Bailey Gribble, Gracie Michelle Pruitt, Braden James Thompson, Calli Jo Fletcher, Wyatt Lee Thompson, Lacey Marie Thompson, Abigail Reese Gribble, Eli Tucker Pruitt, Tanner Cole Rochelle and adopted-grand-daughter- Wilhemina "Mina" Slocum; She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Billy James Hassell; Father Raymond Everett Davis; Mother: Mary Hester Hobson Davis and 1 Brother: Ben Richard "Ricky" Davis. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, January 16, 2012 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. Interment will follow at Elm Branch Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
