Mary Harryman, age 90

January 3, 2005

Mary Harryman passed away January 3, 2005 at Pleasant Manor Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Galveston, Texas on September 5, 1914, to Cassmiro and Rosetta DeCoito. Mary married Virgil Harryman June 7, 1937. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary just prior to his death on March 3, 2003, Mary and Virgil moved from their home of 35 years in Buffalo, Texas to Waxahachie, in 1992.

Mary is survived by one daughter, Rose Wiski, Waxahachie; three grandchildren, Dawn Heisel and husband, Robert of Britt, Minnesota, Chris Anderson of Waxahachie, and Richard Wiski and wife Rachal of Murphy, Texas; nieces and nephews too many to list, but each loved by Mary are among those who mourn her passing. She was also a loving mother to a foster daughter, Katherine Proudfoot of Pardeeville, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and Grandson Steven Wiski on December 18, 1999.

With a span of 90 years Mary had a wonderful life and she will be sorely missed by her loving family. She led a simple life centered on God, family and friends. She captured everyone's attention with tears and laughter when she told stories of her life in Galveston as a child in the 1920's. Her memories of hard times during the Great Depression as well as the fun times spent camping on the beach were favorites of our family. What a life she had and what a wonderful legacy she leaves her family to carry forth.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Friday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Saturday, January 8, 2005 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
