Mary Foy

Born January 19, 1926, our beloved sister, mother, and bramma, Mary Jo Foy passed from this earth to join the lover of her soul, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, September 19, 2012. She is preceded in death by, Charles and Irene Lightfoot fondly known as Mom and Pop, her brother and sister-in-law Chuck and Paula Lightfoot, a sister-in-law Mary Ann Lightfoot, her nephew Mark Lightfoot, her first husband and father of her children Jimmy Lassetter, and her husband J.D. Foy. She is survived by the following: her three brothers Glenn, Billy Wray, and Jerry James Lightfoot, her three children and their spouses Mike and Pat Lassetter, Mitch and Libby Lassetter, and Michele and Billy Joe Garrett, her six grandchildren and their spouses Carmen and Bryan Chadwick, Jason and Becky Lassetter, Tony and Christa Lassetter, Brad and May Lassetter, Lisa and Woody Compton, and Luke and Erin Garrett, and her ten great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of animals, family gatherings, and her amazing fruit salad. She was always a defender of her faith, and a supporter of the underdog. Until we are joined together again...we will hold your memory near to our hearts. We love you, Bramma. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 10:00 am Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Little Bethel Cemetery in Duncanville, Texas. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
