Mary Evelyn Belt Clark

Mary Evelyn Belt Clark, 98, of Waxahachie passed away peacefully on January 27, 2007 at Trinity Mission Health & Rehab in Italy, Texas.
Mary was the daughter of William Daniel Belt, Jr. and Mary Horsley Jones. She was born on August 16, 1908, in Dallas, Texas, as the 2nd of three children.
Mary attended Bryan Street High School in Dallas, Randolph Macon Preparatory School in Danville, Virginia and Southern Methodist University in Dallas where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Mary was a founding member of the Candy Stripers in the WC Tenery Hospital, presently the Baylor Hospital, in Waxahachie. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was active in the Brownie Scouting program.
Mary was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Waxahachie for over 50 years where she served as a long time sponsor of the Westminster Fellowship program and a member of the Chancel Choir for many years.
Mary was the beloved wife of Edward Easters Clark, Jr. who passed away September 23, 1993. She and Ed were married on January 16, 1932 in her family residence in Dallas by Bishop Harry Moore.
Mary's father, mother and brother, William Thomas Belt, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sister, Catherine Belt Ziegler of Fort Worth, her three children, Edward Easters Clark, III and wife Trudy of Yuma, Arizona, Mary Ann Clark McLane and husband Del McLane of Waxahachie and Dan Clark and wife Sandy of Waxahachie.
Mary was the grandmother of 8 grandchildren, Ted, Cathy, Devin, Keri, Kristi, Mandy, Caren and Daniel and the great-grandmother of 11 great-grandchildren, Dustin, Aaron, Shane, Cole, Callie, Ian, Averi, Alexandra, Victoria, Campbell and Corrine.
Family Graveside Services will be conducted in the Waxahachie City Cemetery by the Rev. Kathy Forschner, Interim Pastor, Central Presbyterian Church. Interment will be under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Honorary Pall Bearers are Ted Clark, Devin McLane, Daniel Clark, Todd Floyd, Steven McCoy, Michael Wilkins, Dustin Clark, Aaron Clark, Shane Clark, Cole Vineyard, Ian McCoy and Campbell Clark.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
