Mary Bell

Mary E. Bell January 31, 1920 June 11, 2015 Mary Ella Bell, 95, of Italy passed away June 11, 2015. She was born in Lone Cedar, Texas, near Avalon, to the late Chalmers and Cynthia (Trigg) Varner on January 31, 1920. She married Otta Spencer Bell on October 19, 1941, in Italy. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1961. She loved to garden, sew, crochet, knit and was a very talented artist. She was a seamstress and worked at Joseph Manufacturing in Italy, Haggar and Jan Manufacturing in Waxahachie. She is survived by two children, Garlin Bell and his wife Ann of Waxahachie and Charlotte Lamb and her husband Tim of Coppell; two grandchildren, Taffy Johnson and her husband Buddy of Waxahachie and Troy Bell and his wife Donna of Grand Prairie; 9 great grandchildren, Grady and Denise Johnson and their children Alan and Amanda, Scott and Xochitl Johnson and their children Martha, Ian and Samuel, Eric and Kelly Johnson and their children Audrey, Matty and Abram, Jon and Jessica Johnson and their children Liam and Piper, Ben and Crystal Johnson and their children Logan, Gavin, Peyton and Evan and Tom and Sara Rose and their children Micah, Silas and Eisley, Kara Bell, Aidan Bell and Madelynn Bell and one sister, Romie Glenn. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Valta Sue Bell, one brother and seven sisters. Visitation will be Monday, June 15, 2015, from 6-8 PM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at 2 PM at Farley Street Baptist Church, 1116 Brown St., Waxahachie, Tx. 75165. Interment will follow in the Italy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Texas Baptist Home for Children in Waxahachie.
