Mrs. Katherine Beasley, 84, of Waxahachie, passed away at Baylor Medical Center Dallas on July 25, 2004. She was born August 11, 1919 in Milford, TX. to Tom and Fannie Murphree McCain. She married Alfred H. Beasley in 1937. Mrs. Beasley was a lifetime Ellis County resident and a member of the Farley Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two sons, Sylvan and Barbara Beasley, Billy and Barbara Gail Beasley; one daughter, Sue and Don Mayfield, all of Waxahachie; brother, T. C. McCain of Shreveport, LA.; five grandchildren, Billy Beasley, Debbie and Phil Berry, Terry and Vicki Beasley, Sonya and Todd Alexander, Monty Mayfield and Sheri; five great grandchildren, Olivia Berry, Anna Berry, Micah Berry, Caroline Alexander and Ellie Alexander; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred in 1994; brothers, William McCain and Moody McCain; sisters, Clara Greer and Vallie Traynor; and granddaughter, Rhonda Beasley.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Wednesday, July 28, 2004 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Italy Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Farley Street Church Building Fund.
