Marva Jean Holland Hardaway, age 72

After a longtime fight with diabetes, Mrs. Hardaway passed away at her Waxahachie residence Thursday morning. She was born in Bardwell, TX. to Oliver and Faye (Evans) Holland. Mrs. Hardaway was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of the College Street Church of Christ.

She is survived by: two sons and two daughters, oldest son Joe Dean Hardaway of Waxahachie, D'Anna Curry and her husband Charles of Waxahachie, Pat Branch and her husband Harold of Red Oak and Richie Hardaway and his wife Janie of Maypearl; seven grandchildren, D'Anna and Charles Curry's children Casi, Chad, Caylie, Pat Branch's children Danielle and DJ Burgess, Richie Hardaway's children Dustin and Lauren; sisters, La Fay Slay of Waxahachie, Janice Hardaway and Carolyn Montandon both of Tyler. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Hardaway of 49 years,her parents Oliver and Faye Holland and a grandson Tyler Ray Hardaway.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Friday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 AM Saturday at Hillcrest Burial Park, Waxahachie with Walter Buchanan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lubbock Children's Home and the Children's Home in Keller.
