Marty Shields

Marty Joe Shields, 59, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 at his residence in SeaTac, Washington. He was born on October 20, 1956 in Borger, Texas to Robert and Roberta Shields.
Marty served our country in the United States Marine Corp. He was an artillery section Chief for a 105 mm howitzer. He was a truck driver for Winfield Solutions and a professional tire repairman. He also enjoyed making candles and soap in his spare time and was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church of Red Oak, Texas.

He is survived by his dad and step-mother, Robert and Dottie Shields of Waxahachie; his brothers, William Shields of Fletcher, OK, Terry Shields and his wife, Liza of Stockholm, Sweden; his sister, Sheryl Spruell and her husband, Bill of Dumas, Texas; his step-sister, Penny Hernandez and her husband, Luis of Monterey, NM; also by his step-brother, Chuck Akers and his wife, Kim of Neosho, MO.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Shields.

Services to celebrate Marty's life are scheduled for 3:00 PM Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Bible Baptist Church in Waxahachie. Interment will follow at Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Visitation with the family is scheduled from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Bible Baptist Church on Thursday June 23, 2016.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
