Martha Villarreal, age 82

Mrs. Villarreal, a lifetime resident of Ellis County, passed away at her Waxahachie residence Thursday morning. She was born in Kemp, TX. to Timoteo and Petra (Hernandez) Ortiz. She married Rodrigo Villarreal March 16, 1936 in Rockwall. Mrs. Villarreal was a housewife raising ten children. She was employed with The Greenery in Waxahachie for several years. She was in the Alta Society of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member and was a full time mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Villarreal is survived by: five sons and their wives, Robert and Elizabeth Villarreal of AZ., Joe and Joanne Villarreal of Glenn Heights, Larry and Lupe Villarreal of Grand Prairie, Andrew and Angie Villarreal also of Grand Prairie, David and Cindy Villarreal of Waxahachie; four daughters and their husbands, Gabriela and David Sustaita of Arlington, Dolores Castellanos and Daniel Almaguer of Waxahachie, Mary and Lucio Jacinto of Italy, "Rosie" and Reuben Regelado of Waxahachie; one brother and sister-in-law, Daniel "Uncle Dan" and Carmen Ortiz of Dallas, thirty three grandchildren, forty four great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rodrigo, son Daniel, three brothers and three sisters.
Services will be 7 PM Friday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home, with the Rosary following. The Funeral Mass will be 1 PM Saturday, November 22, 2003 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Michael Guadagoli and Father Edison Vella as Celebrants. Pallbearers will be Richard Villarreal, Mark Jacinto, Jason Castellano, Joe Villarreal, JR., Andy Villarreal and Rod Villarreal. Honorary Pallbearers will be Heather Villarreal, Jessica Sustaita and Amber Villarreal. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Burial Park.
