Martha L. Montgomery August 19, 1932 September 12, 2010 Martha L. Montgomery, 78 of Red Oak, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 in Red Oak. She was born to the late W. L. and Emma Tate Lindsey on August 19, 1932 in Mertens, Texas. Martha loved to cook and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the car races and spending time with her family. The love of her life was her loving husband Charles. She and Charles were married on May 29, 1948 and they spent 52 loving years together. She joined the First Baptist Church of Round Prairie, Texas at the age of 13. Martha will be missed and continually loved by so many. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Ann Smith of Alamogordo, New Mexico, her sons, Billy Montgomery and his wife, Susie of Marana, AZ, Travis Montgomery of Red Oak, Kenneth Montgomery of Dallas, and Gary Montgomery of Red Oak; her 2 brothers, Bill Lindsey, Jr. and his wife, Millie of Ivanhoe, Texas, and Jerry Lindsey of Texarkana, Arkansas; she is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Kim, Wendy, and Christy Pennington, Kelly Alderson and her husband, Gordy, David Kay and his wife, Anita, Carter Kay and his wife, Trisha, Heather, Leslie and Lindsey Montgomery, Misty Trevino and her husband, Abel and David Montgomery and his wife, Trulee; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Whitney, Sarah, Hunter, Jordan, Marco, Haley, Collin, Connor, and Allie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Montgomery. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery.
