Marshall E. "Stan" Stanford, 84, born in Ben Wheeler, Texas to Ralph and Florine Howell Stanford on November 9, 1920, passed away at Charlton Methodist Hospital on November 8, 2005.

During World War II he enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he served in the South Pacific. Following his discharge, at the close of WWII, he settled in Oak Cliff where he began his career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1980, after 35 years of service.

Stan is survived by: Evelyn, his loving wife of 58 years; his daughters, Becky and Cathie; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by two grandsons and a granddaughter.

The Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2005 at 10 AM at the Red Oak Boze Family Funeral Home, 120 N. Hwy. 342, Red Oak, TX. 75154 with Pastor Tim Gibson officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, TX. 75219, in his honor.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Red Oak Funeral Home.
