Marshall Lewis Hunter passed away Sunday at his Cedar Hill residence. He was born in Forreston to Marshall Louis and Marguerite Louise (Wiser) Hunter. He attended Waxahachie Schools. Marshall served in the US Army from 1959 in Alaska, coming home in 1962. He married Betty Cryer August 24, 1962 in Ennis. Mr. Hunter worked for several paint and body shops, retiring in 2000. He and Betty lived in Cleburne for ten years and moved to Cedar Hill, where they have lived for the passed 33 years. He was of the denominational faith.

His survivors include: his wife, Betty Hunter of Cedar Hill; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Lewis and Misty Hunter of Red Oak; daughters, Stephanie Louise Hunter and Tammy Lynn Faulkner, both of CA.; brothers, Larry Ray Hunter of DeSoto, William Boyd Hunter of FL.; grandchildren, Allison Jones, Cody Faulkner, Dillon Faulkner, Harley Hunter and Tyler Hunter. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Alice Fay and one grandchild, Marshall Louis Hunter III, who is now resting in his Paw Paw's arms.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5-7 PM Wednesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 2 PM Thursday, July 20, 2006 at graveside services at the DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, with interment following.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
