Marion Burton

M.L. Burton of Waxahachie Texas passed away on January 17, 2017 at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home. He was 83 years old.

He was born in Aquilla, Texas August 14, 1933 to M.L. and Roxie Burton of Aquilla Texas.
He was proceeded in death by his parents M.L. and Roxie Burton; siblings: sister Velma Bullock, brothers Euell, Aubrey, and Billy Burton. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Margaret Burton of Waxahachie; sister Betty Campbell of Waxahachie; children Michael Burton and wife Marie of Irving; Roxanne Edmondson and husband Chris of Waxahachie; Mark Henderson and wife Leigh Ann of Waxahachie, and Brent Burton and wife Regina of Waxahachie. He also has six grandchildren.

M.L. was a loving husband and father that instilled good Christian values, prayed for each of his children and grandchildren's salvation. He also was an active member of Farley Street Baptist Church.

He proudly worked 45 years with LTV/Vought Aircraft holding numerous positions in Manufacturing Operations, Maintenance and Tooling Technologies. His retired years were spent working as a volunteer for Baylor Medical Auxiliary running a local Thrift Store raising money to help supplement special equipment needed for Baylor's local Hospital.

Visitation service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 4-6 pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, 1826 W. Hwy. 287 Waxahachie, Texas 75165. A celebration of life will be held Monday, January 23, 2017 at 2 pm at Farley Street Baptist Church 1116 Brown St. Waxahachie, TX 75165 with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Graveside services will be for family only. Pallbearers will be Gene Burton, Charles Burton, Leslie Campbell, Charlie Campbell and Glenn McPherson. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Waller, Perry Estepp, Harold Barnard, Johnie Ozymy, David Terry and Fred Weidner.
