Marimyn Garrison

December 24, 1925 — May 14, 2016

Marimyn Graham Garrison, 90, passed away on May 14, 2016 at Midlothian Health Care Center. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 301 E 1st Street in Lancaster.

Marimyn was born on December 24, 1925 to Edward and Jewel (Wood) Graham in Lancaster, Texas. She married William Ray Garrison on April 25, 1943 in Lancaster. Marimyn ran a Kindergarten and Dance Studio she had in her home in the 50's and 60's. She also worked for the World Trade Mart for 20 years as well as the Hallmark Store in Lancaster. She was a life member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, The Ladies Church Circle, a life time member of the Shakespeare Club, and the Book Dusters. Marimyn loved her family, church, flower arranging and traveling with her daughter around the world with their military moves. Marimyn was active in her community of Lancaster and was always eager to help those in need.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William Ray Garrison.

Survivors include her children, Bettye Jewell Garrison Knott and her husband, Carl Knott, and William Graham Garrison and his wife, Susan McMains Garrison; grandchildren, Jennifer Leigh Smith Matthews and her husband, Glenn, Gregory William Garrison and his wife, Elizabeth, Jeffery Clayton Garrison and his wife, Erica, and Wesley Alan Garrison and his wife, Zeenie; great grandchildren, Hannah Jewel Matthews, Jack William Garrison, Natalie Page Garrison, Catherine Susan Garrison, Abigail Jane Garrison, Ziva Amelia Garrison, and Eden Alice Garrison; and sister, Eddie Graham Raley and her husband, Harlan.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Lancaster to the Dome Restoration Project or a charity of your choice.
