Marilyn Beth Coulson, 73 of Waxahachie, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Baylor Medical Center Hospital in Waxahachie. She was born to the late Amos Thurman & Jewell Estelle Todd Hunt on March 26, 1935 in Tipton, Oklahoma.
Marilyn enjoyed playing the drums in High School. She was raised in Tillman County, Oklahoma and moved to Waxahachie 1960. She married Henry Coulson on November 23, 1962 and they enjoyed 40 years together. She volunteered at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home and loved playing Bingo with the residents. She loved to crochet and was a big fan of the University of Oklahoma, enjoying watching them play football, especially when they played the University of Texas. Marilyn was very loved by her family and she will be missed by so many who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Michele Harris of Waxahachie; her sisters, Yvonne Hachtel of Bowie, Judy Mullins and her husband, Ben of Conroe; her granddaughter, Amber Northrup and her husband, Paul of Waxahachie; and her great-granddaughter, Autumn Northrup of Waxahachie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Coulson who passed away on May 15, 2002. She is also preceded by 2 brothers, 1 sister and her parents.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Britton Cemetery with Walter Buchanan officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2008 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
