Marie Reed passed away Sunday in Dallas. She was born March 22, 1943 in Detroit, MI. to Edward F. and Margaret H. (Dubay) Krueger.
Marie (Mimi) Reed is a loving and giving mother, grandmother, friend, and cat lover. She graduated from Christ the Good Shepherd School in Lincoln Park, MI. in 1961. She raised two daughters, six grandchildren and helped many other children with life lessons. She had several friends she adopted as family. She retired from the VA Medical Center after 20+ years of service. Mom (Mimi) was always there for lots of hugs, kisses, and talks at any given time. As years of her poor health came along, she always made it through and surpassed the time she was given with incredible strength. For all the sacrifices and love she gave to her family and friends she deserves every happiness heaven can give.
Mimi is survived by: daughters, Bonnie Reed of Ennis and Alicia Marie Reed of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Jonathan Hennesey, Jessica Frederick, Ryan Reed, Alyssa Perez, Ali Reed and Lisa Cliver.
The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Friday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Mimi's Memorial Service is 10 AM Saturday, February 14, 2009 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Chaplain Nicole Benson officiating.
