Mary Ignacia Lobb October 11, 1944 February 6, 2011 Mary Ignacia Lobb, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of Venus, TX (formerly long-time resident of San Antonio), passed away and entered heaven February 6, 2011. She was born October 11, 1944 in McAllen, TX to loving parents. Her father was Miguel Badillo and her mother was Isabel Badillo who resided near the Kingsville, TX area. She married Paul Lobb Sr., resided in San Antonio and was blessed with three sons. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs fan that enjoyed cooking and having her family and neighbors visit her home. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren. She would always say her grandchildren were one of the good Lord's blessings to her. She was an inspiration to her sons for her unconditional love of our Lord Jesus despite the various trials and health issues she endured throughout the years. She was a hard worker who always pushed the limits at home and at work. She was a long time manager for numerous restaurants and commercial establishments in San Antonio before joining the San Antonio Independent School District as a school cafeteria manager. While manager at SAISD she was twice awarded and attended award ceremonies at the Texas State Capital where she met former Governor and future US President George Bush. The second time she met Governor Rick Perry. She and her husband loved to travel and saw many parts of the United States from New York to California to Canada to Washington DC. She is survived by her husband Paul Lobb Sr., her sons and spouses Paul and Tanya, Rick and Ria, Michael and JD, her brothers and spouse Andres and Minnie, Mike, sister and spouse Clem and Johnny, her grandchildren Brian, Seahn, Dawson, Saelah (aka princess), and two great-grandchildren Josh and Eva as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services to celebrate her life will be held at Destiny Church, 1375 New Clark Rd., Cedar Hill, TX 75104. Official date and time pending.
