Mrs. Hunter passed away Friday morning in Dallas. She was born in Ferris, TX. to Claude C. and Mattie (Culver) Wiser. She attended high school at Boyce. She and Marshall L. Hunter were married August 8, 1939 in Waxahachie. Mrs. Hunter loved to cook; according to family members she was a very good cook. She had lived in Waxahachie for the past 16 years, moving from Little Elm. She was a member of the South Prong Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by: sons, Marshall Hunter and wife Betty of Cedar Hill, Larry R. Hunter and wife Wanda of Lancaster, and Boyd Hunter of Fort Pierce, FL.; brothers, Delbert Wiser of Waxahachie and Billy E. Wiser of Dallas; sisters, Rose Trammell, Joy F. Umstead and Frances Maddran all of Waxahachie; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marshall in 1982 and a daughter Alice Hawkins.
The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Saturday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2:30 PM Sunday, May 25, 2003 at the South Prong Baptist Church with Brother James Wilcox officiating. Grandsons will be the pallbearers. Interment will follow in Red Oak Cemetery.
