Mrs. Russell passed away at her Ovilla residence early Thursday morning. She was born in
Jasper to John and Lorean (Segrest) Byerly. "Mother was a shining gem and our lives will be a little dimmer without her. She never met a stranger and she loved all children. She is now with Jesus and her beloved husband Morgan Russell." Marguerite was a giver, a devoted wife and mother.

Her survivors include: son, Van Gordon Russell of Atlanta, GA.; daughters, Darleen Adams of Glenn Heights, Kay Whitton of South Lake and Melody Hornung of Ovilla; sister, Thelma Perkins of Ft. Worth; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Morgan F. Russell; son, Ronald Russell; brother, Doyle Byerly; and sisters, Octavine Manning, Lorene Banks and Bertice Wasson.

The family will receive friends and relatives 4-6 PM Sunday at the Red Oak Funeral Home. The Celebration of her Life will be 3 PM Monday, March 5, 2007 at the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ovilla with Pastor David Johnston. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery.
