Margie Anderson

March 13, 1926 — July 13, 2015

Margie Marie Anderson was a faithful follower of Christ who lived her life serving Him and loving others. Margie was born in Grandview, Texas on March 13, 1926 to Dewey Glenn Smith and Mary Hinson Smith. Raised on farms in Texas, Margie learned to value family, work hard and appreciate beautiful flowers. She attended school in Palmer and Wilmer Hutchins High School. Margie met the love of her life, Henry Jeff Anderson, in high school. They were wed on January 1, 1945 and celebrated their 60TH wedding anniversary. Margie served for many years teaching children at First Baptist Church in Lancaster, Texas and First Baptist Church in Tool, Texas. Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff, her parents, an infant brother Charlie, and her sister Wanda Coffee. She is survived by brother Dewey Glenn Smith and wife Jan, by sister Betty Owens, by son Jerry Wayne Anderson and wife Lisa Brooks Anderson, and daughter Judy Thedford and husband Larry Thedford. Margie's granddaughters and great grandchildren were dear to her heart: Laura and Jack Carter and sons Keiran and Jack Henry; Danta & Tommy Russell and children Kelby, Kegan, and Kaisn; Amber & David Turton and children Britton and Jesse; and Beth & Brian McQueen and children Emily and Abigail. Her life and home going will be celebrated on Saturday July 18, 2015 at 3:00 pm in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
