Margaret R. "Peggy" Wilkins, age 82

Mrs. Wilkins was born in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England to Frank and Olive Rosena (Ashby) Asbery. She completed her higher education and during WWII married Milton "Tex" Wilkins June 4, 1945 in Wellingborough, England. She was a member of the IOOF, Rebecca Lodge, WMA, Choir and a Sunday School Teacher at Farley Street Baptist Church where she was a member. "Peggy" enjoyed craft projects, was a seamstress, wedding cake decorator and enjoyed traveling and flower gardening.

She is survived by: two sons and their wives, John and Donna Rae Wilkins of Waxahachie and Leslie and Dorel Wilkins of Edmond, OK.; one brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Joan Asbery of Wellingborough, England; three grandchildren, Angela Diaz and her husband Nathan of Waxahachie, Ryan Wilkins and his wife Rebecca of Arlington, and Victoria Wilkins of Waxahachie; three great grandchildren, Dylan Diaz, Haley Diaz and Kendall Wilkins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Tex" in 2000, and a sister Janet Crummerly.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5-7 PM Wednesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 1:30 Thursday, December 4, 2003 at the Farley Street Baptist Church with Brother Richard Smith and Eddie Ballard officiating. Pallbearers will be John Moore, Jon Michael Beard, Marty Reese, Pete Beard, David Jackson and Judson Galloway. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Brown and Del Ray George. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Farley Street Baptist Church, 111 Farley St., Waxahachie, Texas, 75165 or the Great Grandchildren Education Fund at Vintage Bank, Waxahachie.
