Lynn Winborne

Lynn Griffith Winborne, 60 of Waxahachie, passed away suddenly, Friday, August 25, 2017 in Waxahachie. He was born on June 21, 1957 in Waxahachie.

Griff is survived by his former wife, Annette Winborne; his daughter, Amanda Lynn Winborne; his son, Byron Charles Winborne.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilynn Griffith Winborne; his grandmother, Dorothy Howard Griffith; and also by his grandfather, Lynn Byron Griffith.

Griff received his bachelor's degree in accounting from UTA and his J. D. from Baylor Law School. He was the Secretary of the Waxahachie Foundation. He was the Pro Bono attorney of the year in 2016 from the Legal Aid of Northwest Texas.

He enjoyed sailing, scuba diving, cooking and traveling. Griff loved his family and his puppies and spending time with them. He enjoyed entertaining friends and was a true friend to those close to him.

Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
