Mrs. Oelger passed away early Saturday morning at Grace Presbyterian Village in Dallas. Lutie Oelger was born in Elgin, Texas to Giles Kenchen and Charlotte (Childress ) Boone.
She was raised and educated in Elgin graduating from Elgin High School. She married Oscar Christopher Oelger in Dallas, Texas and lived most of her life in Dallas. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Elgin, Texas.
Mrs. Oelger was an avid Golfer whose associations included: Past president of Texas Women's Golf Association and Texas Senior Women's Golf Association, Twice President of Dallas Athletic Club Women's Golf Association, Served on the Board of Dallas Women's Golf Association and Central Texas Women's Golf Association. She also served several years on the United States Golf Association Rating Committee for the Dallas Area and the State of Texas.

She is survived by one brother JK Boone and his wife Delaine of Dallas, nieces Cynthia Carter and husband Jerry, Charlotte Puckett and husband Daryl of Houston; nephews Rick Boone of Dallas, Tim Boone and wife Lori of Garland and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday November 10 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. Graveside Services are Scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Elgin Cemetery in Elgin Texas with Chaplain Jerry Carter officiating.
