Luther Fugerson Hudson, age 92

Mr. Hudson passed away Friday morning at Renfro Healthcare, Waxahachie. He was born in Covington, TX., Hill County, to Leona Paige McKinnely Hudson and Lila Davis Hudson. He was the next to the youngest of fifteen children. Mr. Hudson was schooled in Sardis, TX., the Lone Elm Community. He moved to Waxahachie in 1932. He married Melba Johnson in 1936, who preceded him in death in 2001. His career was in heavy Construction. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1933 until early 1936 when he was discharged. He worked for O.M. Lander Construction, L. H. Lacey, Austin Construction, worked with the group that constructed Waxahachie Lake and for the City of Waxahachie until retirement in 1978. Mr. Hudson was a member of the Woodmen of the World. He was an avid sports enthusiast. He attended the Primitive Baptist Church.

His survivors include: daughter, Linda Ingram; grandson and his wife, Lyle and Jessica Graham; great granddaughter, Kylie Ingram; sister, Ruth Hays Riley of Wylie.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Monday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Graveside Services and interment will be 10 AM Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Waxahachie City Cemetery with Don Knebel officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Chautuaqua Preservation Society.
